Our aim is to create an environment
in which all children can develop to their full
potential. We want St.Luke's children to be proud of
their school and themselves.
We realise that we cannot succeed without the active
support of St.Luke's parents and guardians.

Our
Aims |
|
All teaching and non-teaching
staff, Governors and Parent Representatives drew up
these aims and they are reviewed annually. The
criteria drawn up forms the base from which we
monitor and evaluate our success in achieving the
stated aims.
To foster the spiritual and moral development of the
children within the context of the Christian faith
whilst sustaining a respect for other faiths and
beliefs.
We will achieve this by:-
- Fostering the relationship with the community of
faith (St.Luke's)
- Inviting the Rector/Church member to take assembly
weekly
- Effective, thorough planning and delivery of the
Liverpool Diocese syllabus that includes some study
of other faiths
- Ensuring a variety of suitable resources subject
to available finances
- valuing the children's contributions in all
aspects of school life, ensuring that they
experience tolerance, understanding and forgiveness
(good examples set by all adults)
- Giving the children opportunities to make the
right choices and to develop a sense of
responsibility
- Holding school assemblies in St.Luke's Church at
least once every term
- Encouraging participation in Church worship
- Implementing the R.E. and Collective Worship
policies
- Raising awareness of spiritual and moral issues
across all aspects of school life
